Patagotitan mayorum

Patagotitan mayorum ("Titan of the Patagonia of the Mayo family") is a species of titanosaurian sauropod dinosaur of the monotypic genus Patagotitan. It lived in the mid-Cretaceous period, approximately 101 million years ago, in what is now South America. His remains were found in the Cerro Barcino Formation, in the Argentine province of Chubut, in the center of Argentine Patagonia.

The discovery of its skeletal remains was released in May 2014. Researchers claim that it would be the largest land animal of all time.
It received its name in August 2017.
